How to Easily Bring Life to Your Teen's Artist Studies

If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you know we're big on art in this family. I appreciate it; my kids create it.

Therefore, I'm always sharing art resources.

Today I want to tell you about this AWESOME art course my kids are taking. Specifically, Lorelai will be taking it, but if Alexis wants to, she can. Alexis is finished with high school, and as the creator of this course said, Alexis "...could probably teach this course." But being an artist, she is always looking to learn more.

Introducing Mixing with the Masters

While I love artist and art studies conducted in the Charlotte Mason style, Mixing with the Masters adds a new dimension to learning. Kids love learning through hands-on activities.

Since my kids have dyslexia and dysgraphia, they appreciate hands-on learning. They much prefer it to reading and writing. (Of course, they still have to do those things, but you get what I'm saying.)

By adding hands on activities to your child's learning, you're stimulating different parts of the brain. By allowing them to create art, you're bringing their art lessons to life!

So what's so great about this art course?

Children will still learn about six artists - about their lives, art styles, techniques, mediums, and genres. But - and this is the fun part - Your children will create a work of art!

With this program, you'll be able to
  • ignite a love, even passion, for the old masters and their works
  • encourage kids and teens to actively engage in the art process and have FUN doing so
  • inspire them to utilize and further develop their own natural creativity
