When I first heard of Kiwi Crate, I was interested and considered subscribing. Kiwi Crate is designed for children ages 3-16 and I really wanted it for my 6-year-old. A few weeks later, I was offered me the opportunity to review it and I jumped at the chance.
For our Kiwi Crate, we received Around The World. My daughter was very excited have a packaged mailed to the house specifically for her.

This crate came with several really cool things to do. There was a craft with flags and a huge map to use with game pieces. It also has a book of little fun craft ideas that you can try with your kids.
It was really nice to have a pre-set choice of crafts readily available. With no real work of having to gather everything together, we were able to just dive right in!
The first item to have fun with was a craft of flags from around the world. My daughter especially loved this because she has been learning to speak Japanese and aspects of Japanese culture from one of her aunts. And she got to make the flag from Japan.

Making the flags was so easy and definitely educational. As she was making them, I was able to answer questions about where the places were located and what it was like there.
After making all the suggested flags, Kiwi Crate gives the option of making another one from another country or to make your own. My daughter chose to make her own. Once finished, she got to string them up together. Here’s her result!

My daughter is 6 and an only child, so the game aspect of the map is great for when she visits with her aunts. By herself, however, she just liked using the map as a way to pinpoint where the flags came from.
What did we think about the Kiwi Crate kid crafts?
We really enjoyed the crate and everything it had to offer. I think it is definitely worth the money and the easy-to-use items make it easier for her to use in our busy homeschool life.
These crates come with educational, high quality crafts that she can continue to use later on. I was so impressed by this first crate, that our family subscribed to Kiwi Crate and already got our next package! My daughter is loving it!
